Author Alice Walker to Return to Her Hometown of Eatonton This Weekend

July 12, 2019 – The Georgia Writers Museum, a nonprofit organization and exhibit space that educates the public about the state’s rich literary heritage, will host a one-day celebration of Alice Walker’s 75th birthday on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Walker, who was born in Eatonton, Ga. in 1944, will travel to her hometown for the festivities.
