Eatonton to Celebrate Native Daughter Alice Walker’s 75th Birthday on July 13

July 5, 2019 – The Georgia Writers Museum, a nonprofit organization and exhibit space that educates the public about the state’s rich literary heritage, will host a one-day celebration of Alice Walker’s 75th birthday on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Walker, who was born in Eatonton, Ga. on February 9, 1944, will travel back to her hometown for the festivities. The small town of Eatonton is located nearly 80 miles southeast of Atlanta.
